Donald Glover Just Made This Girl Scout’s Day
Donald Glover appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to talk about everything from his rap career to his TV show Atlanta.
You may know Donald better as Childish Gambino. Lately, he has been doing more than just making rap albums. Donald Glover has acted in a few shows and created the show Atlanta on top of being an amazing musician. They talked about how he grew up as a Jehovah’s Witness and how he was taught to view the world as a bad place. Because of that, his family felt a little weird about him acting and playing characters in movies and TV shows that normally he was not allowed to watch growing up.
There was another surprise on the show that night. Earlier in the week, a video went viral of a little girl named Charity Joy singing her own version of his song “Redbone” in order to sell more Girl Scout cookies. Charity Joy and her father were surprise guests and got to meet Gambino. Donald then proceeded to look at her order form. When he saw her goal for the cookie sales, he orders enough for her to meet that goal. As if we all didn’t already love him, he never ceases to amaze.
