Comedians Host March for Our Lives Benefit in LA
From John Mulaney to Ellen DeGeneres, check out the stars who came out to rally funds for the March for Our Lives movement.
After the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida, survivors and allies gathered to develop the March for Our Lives organization to push for gun reform, and in the process caught national attention. In shared efforts to fund their march set for the month of March, many celebrities have been donating to the cause including Oprah Winfrey and the Clooneys.
George and Amal, I couldn’t agree with you more. I am joining forces with you and will match your $500,000 donation to ‘March For Our Lives.’ These inspiring young people remind me of the Freedom Riders of the 60s who also said we’ve had ENOUGH and our voices will be heard.

In response, a benefit was held at the Largo of Los Angeles with some top-tier comedians. Starting off the night were Nick Kroll and John Mulaney, the leading men from Oh, Hello on Broadway. Following the two came Emmy award-winning television host, Ellen DeGeneres. Hollywood’s beloved comedian was not expected to perform at the benefit, but no one rushed her off the stage.
During this special event, Sharon Van Etten, Jaboukie Young-White, and Joe Mande also took to the stage. Van Etten has albums tucked under her belt and can be found on tour now, while Young-White’s American Vandal work is streaming on Netflix alongside Joe Mande’s Award-Winning Comedy Special.
