During an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday, the host revealed that she named a room in the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ Heart Institute after Kimmel’s son, Billy.

Billy was born with Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia, which required him to go through two different heart operations. In response, DeGeneres and her viewers raised a million dollars to support Billy as he underwent surgery.

But her generosity didn’t stop there. She revealed that she called her friends at Children’s Hospital L.A., including Billy’s surgeon, and named one of the rooms on the Heart Institute floor in honor of Billy. Behind the two show hosts, a clip of the room named after Billy was shown with the words “In Honor of Billy Kimmel” placed in front of it.

“That will forever be the Billy Kimmel room,” DeGeneres told Kimmel as he began to tear up.

Several of Billy’s nurses were even in the audience. “You should be at work!” Kimmel playfully scolded them.

“Thank you very much. That means a lot to me,” Kimmel told Ellen.
