Meet the Upcoming Fashion Designer Who Makes Clothes Using a 3D Printer

(Instagram)

18-year-old fashion designer Shami Oshun taught herself how to 3D print this past August after realizing her designs couldn’t be created traditionally.

Shami realized her passion for fashion design when she was 15, and founded her fashion brand in May 2015. However, it wasn’t until August 2017 when she discovered she could use 3D printing to make certain designs come to life. According to her website, a fashion piece can take anywhere from 14-40 hours to make.

In celebration of Black History Month, Shami shared a tweet reflecting on how far she has come since her early days as a fashion designer.

The talented designer has already been mentioned in Vogue.

With beautiful and innovative designs, Shami is set to take the fashion world by storm.
