‘Welcome to Wakanda’ Shows Off Black Panther Fashion

Marvel Studios sponsored an immersive Black Panther event for New York Fashion Week.
The moment that you walked in the room, you were transported to the fictional world of Wakanda and the fashion was to die for. The music filled the entire room which was adorned from wall to wall with greenery. The lighting in the room was purple and yellow for the theme colors of the movie.
It can be described as ‘afrofutristic.’ From the tribal print to the black leather ensembles, the fashion of Wakanda was definitely inspiring. Black Panther cast members including Lupita Nyongo and Michael B. Jordan attended the event along with the Black Panther himself Chadwick Boseman.
The collection was auctioned off for charity after the event. Take a look at some of the fashion from the night as well as some of the celebs that were in attendance.
