A Look at the End of ‘The Fosters’

(Freeform/Vu Ong)

The beloved show on Freeform is set to end this summer after five seasons.

The Fosters’ Maia Mitchell who plays Callie Foster in the show, has given fans an inside look into one of Freeform’s greatest hits. The family drama that tackled issues from LGBTQ+ rights to school shootings, is coming to an end.  They have wrapped its official season finale, but it appears as though they are wrapping up their additional three-episode summer installment that has been designed to transition its current program into a new one that focuses on the lives of Callie and Mariana Foster (Cierra Ramirez).

While the upcoming show has plans to implement guest appearances by characters from the original series, there is nothing like an end to something you already know and love. Monday evening Mitchell shared a few snapshots from their last official table reading, which featured fellow castmates as well as those hidden behind the camera, such as the writers.

The show airs Tuesdays on Freeform at 8pm/7c.
