What We All Can Learn from Selena Gomez + Her Self-Care

Selena Gomez recently went into a rehab center for two weeks to help with her anxiety and depression.

This is not the first time that she has done this. The first time she decided it was time to focus on her mental health was back in 2014 and again in 2016. She chose to do this because she was depressed, anxious and having panic attacks before and after performances.

What we can all learn from Selena is how important it is to be open about what is going on with your mental health and to make sure that you take care of yourself first. Too many times mental health is something that is not talked about enough. Though this is slowly changing for the better, Selena is a role model for the people who may not think it is ok to go and seek help.

Once you realize that in order to maintain a healthy social and personal life is to first maintain your own mental health, you will live an all-around healthier life. If Selena Gomez can seek help while in the spotlight, so can you! Thank you, Selena, for showing that mental health is nothing to be ashamed of.
