The Spice Girls Prove That “Friendship Lasts Forever”

We are so here for this Spice Girls reunion.

The English girl group made “Headlines” Friday afternoon when they went to Instagram to share that all five of the Spice Girls were reunited. ‘Posh’ Victoria Beckham, 43,  ‘Ginger’ Geri Halliwell, 45, ‘Scary’ Melanie Brown, 42, ‘Baby’ Emma Bunton, 42, and ‘Sporty’ Mel Chisholm, 44, last performed at the London Olympics in 2012.

However, it’s beginning to look like they may be hitting the stage together again soon. In a statement released by Beckham’s publicist, Jo Milloy, to Entertainment Weekly the girls shared, “We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together. We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for the Spice Girls. The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together.”

What are these new opportunities? Well, given their diverging lifestyles and current career paths, we do not expect a tour to be the answer. However, it seems like they might just be working on the next best thing. “We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of the Spice Girls,” they wrote, “while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations.”

Whatever this project may be, we’re all here for anything involving girl power.
