We all love award shows, especially the Grammys, but do you know what happens behind the scenes at an award show as big as this one? This year at the Grammys a lot happened. Artists wore a white rose to the award show in support of the Time’s Up and MeToo movements, James Corden hosted, the multi-generational duets between Elton John and Miley Cyrus, and John Legend and Tony Bennett, the moving tribute to all of the lives lost at the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas, and much more.
Artists that took home an award include: Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble” for Best Rap Song, Portugal The Man’s “Feel It Still” for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Bruno Mars’ 24k Magic for Album of the Year, and many more. Mars was the front-runner of this year’s award show taking a home a total of seven awards. Performances included Kendrick Lamar kicking off the show, Pink, Sam Smith, Kesha, Bruno Mars and Cardi B, and many more.
