Stars Show up on the Grammy Red Carpet with White Roses to Support #TimesUp

Celebrities from all realms of the industry took to the red carpet at this year’s 60th Grammy Awards to show their support for the #TimesUp Movement by pairing white roses with their outfits.

Singer and songwriter Khalid sported a white rose on his light purple suit, paired with a colorful turtleneck underneath. Khalid is known for his creativity and how passionate he is in his work, and continues to be an incredible voice for this movement.

Jon Batiste is a musician, most commonly known for his leading role in the house band on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.  He shows his support for the movement here with a white rose along his black and gold suit.

Ne-Yo is a singer that has been popular in the industry for longer than most others in attendance and has truly been able to see how the industry has changed (or not changed) to encourage the equal and fair treatment of women throughout the years. He has paired his rose with a mustard suit jacket and a black fedora hat, showing his style that has never left him.

Zayn Malik is a singer and songwriter most known for his involvement in boy band One Direction. He has always been fearless to speak his mind and continues to do so with a white rose embroidered onto his blush pink suit.

Incredible singer Rita Ora always has spunk in her step, and this year’s Grammy’s was no different. She paired a daring thigh-high split dress with pointed toe shoes and a white rose accenting her one-shoulder detail.

Sam Smith, singer and songwriter, sported a dark green suit with a color-blocked sweater underneath, and white rose on his chest. Sam has been a huge part of the LGBTQ movement, and continues to show his compassion towards people at the Grammy’s.

From a former boy band to now a successful solo artist, Nick Jonas has impacted the entertainment industry in any way that he can. He paired a graphic tee with a patterned suit jacket, and a white rose and pin on his chest.

One of the biggest trends in 2017 was wearing lingerie in public outfits, and it’s clear that Pitch Perfect star Anna Kendrick is not planning on leaving that behind. She wore a lace bodysuit underneath a gray suit paired with a white rose.

Miley Cyrus has been challenging the entertainment industry for years, as early as even her Disney Channel days. With a black jumpsuit paired with sparkly heels and an extra long rose, she continues to lead the new generation in the direction of making a change.

Despite their careers or personal relationships, all of these celebrities share one common interest, an end to the mistreatment of women, and a change in the future. We hope to continue to see this encouragement in the future, and hope someday it will no longer be needed.
