Instagram

Your favorite little TV sister won the NAACP award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Marsai Martin is starting off 2018 on a high note.  The 13-year-old has been honored with the award because of her portrayal as the sassy Diane Johnson on Black-ish.

I had no idea I was gonna win this award . This one was a complete surprise and I was so discombobulated that I forgot to thank my blackish family. @kenyab_in_imax3d @anthonyanderson @traceeellisross @yarashahidi @marcusscribner @milesbrown @jeniferlewisforreal #laurencefishburne #august #berlin @pmack61 @deoncole @jeffmeacham @maldonadoiseverywhere I am so honored to be a part of this show and this family. Thank you for elevating me to new levels every year. I love you all! All of our writers and crew… you guys make us look good. Thank you! @naacpimageawards Thank you for recognizing our show and for “seeing” me…even though I’m a kid, you recognize me as an artist, an actress and that means everything. Thank you ~ Marsai
