The former executive producer was initially suspended before being fired and removed from all shows. Kreisberg was also the executive producer of The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

When the allegations first came to light, Benoist reacted on Twitter, writing that she is a “woman who leads a show that supports equality and feminism.” She stated that the news was “heartbreaking” but that she was “an optimist.”

Benoist is apart of the Paramount project, Waco.

Much like her character, Benoist has hope for the business and believes that “that people are better than the way things have been.”

Supergirl airs Mondays on The CW.
