Amazon’s CEO Just Did an Amazing Thing

Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos is donating money to a great cause.

Bezos and his wife donated 33 million dollars to a scholarship fund for undocumented immigrants that were brought to the United States as kids. The scholarship program is through “The Dream” and helps kids go to college who would otherwise not be able to. This donation is one of the biggest in the organization’s history. This is such a great thing because it shows a millionaire CEO in a good light. It’s nice to see someone who makes so much money give it to such a great organization and have it used for good! With his large donation to the program, it will help fund over 1,000 college student’s educations.

Bezos’s own dad came to this country at the age of 16, unable to speak English by himself. His dad became very successful through his determination to make it in this country. This helped inspire Bezos’s decision to donate to “The Dream”. One can only hope that this inspires other  CEOs to follow suit and donate to a charity of their own choice to help give back and send people off to get a higher education.
