Selena Visits Childhood Home

Selena Gomez visited her old childhood home in Grand Prairie, TX.

The singer posted to Instagram about what her first house meant to her and also talked about how her life would be different if she didn’t become famous and was still living there. Gomez lived in the house with her single mother from when she was born until 13-years-old. Mandy, Selena’s mom, had her when she was 16-years-old and raised her on her own.

The home I grew up in, from birth to 13… (no one was home when I knocked this time lol) I visit this place every chance I get. In many ways it very well could have been better than my life today, but I’m grateful for a voice that can enable change today. Even when I don’t know how to do it well or actually want it. I love you Grand Prairie. Thank you. ❤️

Gomez began acting when she was on Barney & Friends in 2001 when she was 9-years-old. She says in her caption how she is thankful for the life she lives now, but that she could’ve had another life in Texas that could’ve been better. Gomez goes to visit her old home often.
