Aly Raisman Talks Body Positivity at Aerie Event
Aly Raisman meets with Aerie Real girls to talk about body positivity.
Aly Raisman and Iskra Lawrence (a plus-size model) joined forces in Miami to discuss body positivity. They held an in-store event at the opening of a new Aerie store on Lincoln Road.
Aly Raisman announced last month that she will be joining the amazing team of Aerie Real girls, spreading the word that there is no “right” way your body should look. Everybody is beautiful. As a little girl, Aly was always the muscular gymnast while other girls’ bodies didn’t quite look like hers.
The event opened by Aly sharing her favorite thing about herself: that she is a kind person. The purpose of the event was to spread self-love and body positivity. It was held just days after previous Team USA doctor Larry Nasser was sentenced to 60 years in prison for child pornography charges.
Everybody deserves to be happy in their body and everybody is beautiful. There is no specific way that anybody should look and Aly is helping to crush that myth.
