Ed Sheeran Has Achieved ‘Perfect’ion with His Latest Collab

First, the British singer provided fans a duet with Queen Bey for his swoon-worthy hit. Now it’s become a family affair.

Sheeran’s latest version of “Perfect” features Italian singer Andrea Bocelli, giving the song a richer vocal performance we’d expect from the classical artist. Both the duet and the accompanying visual were recorded at Andrea’s Italian home this past October.

But Sheeran brought one more person aboard for this collab- his brother. Matthew Sheeran had an orchestral vision for his brother’s song around the same time it was initially written. Receiving a Master’s degree in composition from King’s College in London, the classical composer went ahead with the arrangement for Ed, and then both decided on adding Bocelli to the track as well.

Just this past week, “Perfect” grabbed the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot 100. Sheeran is the only lead artist to have obtained two number one hits this past year, the other one being his 7x-Platinum single “Shape of You.” His third studio album “Divide,” which features both songs, has spent 36 weeks on the top ten list and just reached the top 5 again this week.

Sheeran’s latest version of the song is already racking up some serious views on YouTube. Seen by over half a million fans since midnight, the song is in fifth place for YouTube’s currently trending videos. Sheeran’s original video for the song, featuring actress Zoey Deutch, has been viewed over 295 million times. Take a look!

We’ve come to a conclusion- Ed, you can do no wrong when it comes to musical masterpieces!
