In 2007, they released their sophomore album “Insomniatic” with their lead single, “Potential Breakup Song.” They also released a Christmas album in 2006 called “Acoustic Hearts of Winter.” In 2009, they renamed themselves 78violet and released “Hothouse.” Their re-branding failed, and they haven’t come back until now.

Their new EP, Ten Years, has four songs: Take Me, I Know, Promises, and The Distance. The entire album has an 80s vibe and ventured into indie and synth pop. “Take Me” is the lead single for the EP and was released in August 2017. The song talks about making a move on a crush and has a flirty chorus. “I Know” is the second single from the album which was released November 2017. This song was inspired by the death of an acquaintance after they died of cancer.

With this new EP, Aly and AJ are making a great comeback to the music world. It is now available on all listening sites.
