Prince Harry + Meghan Markle Announce Engagement

Britain’s Prince Harry finally announced in a statement this morning his engagement to U.S. actress girlfriend, Meghan Markle.

The cutest part, the prince still asked Markle’s parents for her hand in marriage. Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland released a statement following the announcement, within this statement, it reveals that he “sought and received the blessing of Ms. Markle’s parents” before moving forward with the proposal.

They also express their joy for the couple.
“Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents.”

The two met through friends in July of 2016, and it was confirmed the two were officially a couple in October of that year. The two blend perfectly together and seem to be extremely happy. The marriage is set to take place in the spring of 2018. This is Prince Harry’s first marriage while it is Markle’s second.

“We wish them a lifetime of happiness and are very excited about their future together,” Markle’s parents said to wrap up their statement.
