One of the world’s most eligible bachelors is officially off the market. Britain’s Prince Harry is engaged to American actress Meghan Markle. It was announced by royal officials Monday.

“When did I know she was the one?” Harry said in response to a reporter’s question during a photo op at Kensington Palace. “The very first time we met.”

The moment we have all been waiting for has finally happened and we are already thinking about who she will be wearing for her wedding in 2018. The wedding will take place in the spring but the venue was not revealed.

In royal household tradition will Meghan walk the aisle wearing a British designer? Or will Meghan follow in Kate’s footsteps, Middleton’s Alexander McQueen gown was the first time a British-owned house wasn’t chosen for a royal wedding. Kate’s gown was Victorian-inspired corsetry. She wore a Cartier halo tiara of which King George VI initially purchased for his wife and it includes nearly 1,000 diamonds, holding her veil in place.

A strong contender to dress Miss Markle is British designer Caroline Castigliano. Caroline has been designing bridal gowns since 1991 and has dressed everyone from celebrities to royalty.

From her Knightsbridge boutique, Caroline has sketched a gown she thinks will be perfect for Meghan Markle’s royal moment.

“I think Meghan will wear a gown that is classic yet sensual and stylish with a modern highlight, ” says Castigliano. I have sketched a gown in a beautiful silk zibeline that has a wonderful structure and soft sheen to the finish.”

“The skirt is styled flat into the waist that will sculpt and show Megan’s slim waistline – it then flows out to a full skirt mounted so it holds its shape. The bodice is a boat neck with long lace sleeves in a French Chantilly lace and follows through to a low V back in sheer Chantilly lace with the gleam of her skin tone showing through the lace. I think this gown would be show-stopping. It would be a nod to tradition that would be expected and required from the Royal household but would also show her personal sense of style.”

We think this dress would look amazing on Meghan. Stay tuned for more news on her dress selection as well as up to date on all the wedding details unfolding. We personally can’t wait. Everyone loves a royal wedding.
