‘The Magicians’ Release Trailer For New Season
‘The Magicians’ releases trailer for their third season.
The show is based off of Lev Grossman’s bestselling novels and centers around Quentin Coldwater (played by Jason Ralph) and his 20-something friends. They are thrown into the unfamiliar world of the mysteriously beautiful Fillory as well as other magical places. While in these places, they must draw upon their novice skills to save the existence of magic.
While the show for the first two seasons was based on the characters having magic, the third season picks up on how they are doing without magic as it was taken away in the second season finale. They’re shown in the trailer struggling with this loss as well as how they took their powers for granted. One of the characters, Eliot (played by Hale Appleman) is told that he can bring the magic back on a quest with the help of his friends.
Having a quest to regain magic does seem like an interesting attention grabber but how in the world would you do a quest in a world like Fillory without magic?
