Kate Hudson + Maddie Ziegler Become Unlikely Friends

The two came together for Sia’s project.

The project is a film titled, Sister, and is based on a one-page story that the singer wrote eight years ago. The film is about a sober drug dealer and his autistic sister.

“I was too embarrassed to tell anyone I wanted to make a movie,” Sia shared during a panel at Venice Days. “And then last year, after I made the ‘Chandelier’ video, I realized that I was pretty good at directing, so I felt a little bit braver.”

The amazing thing about this film is the friendship it formed between the 38 year-old-actress, the 41-year-old singer, and the 15-year-old dancer. In an interview at the premiere of her new movie, Leap, Ziegler gushed about her co-star.

“She’s amazing. I mean she knows how to do everything, she’s the most incredible actor, and she’s probably my biggest inspiration in life — her and Sia, two girl empowerment, they’re amazing,” Ziegler said.

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Hudson showed love for Sia as well. “My happiest moment of the year was working with Sia on our special project and knowing that no matter what I will always have a lifelong friend in her. What a beautiful person.”

Ziegler describes Sister as “different.” At this time, the release date is unknown.
