This past American Music Awards show was one that we certainly won’t forget anytime soon, thanks to these memorable performances.

Of course, we have to kick things off with Imagine Dragons and Khalid’s mashup of “Young, Dumb, and Broke” and “Thunder.” An unlikely pairing? Yes. But one we could imagine our lives without? Not anymore! The unexpected mix of genres definitely set the bar high for performers following this class act.

Of course, Christina Aguilera had no problem holding her own ground. The soulful singer paid tribute to the late Whitney Houston, performing hits like “I Will Always Love You,” “I Have Nothing,” and closed things with “I’m Every Woman.” The tribute comes with the 25 year anniversary of Houston’s film, The Bodyguard, and we couldn’t imagine anyone better fit for this performance!

We saved the best for last! We weren’t going to forget the just named New Artist of the Year Niall Horan’s performance of his quick hit “Slow Hands.” The star changed out of his dapper suit for a more country look to match his twist on the sultry song. This performance was swoon worthy for sure!

All we can say is that AMAs 2018 better bring their “A game” to top this year’s show!
