China Anne McClain’s New Show Gets a Premiere Date

China Anne McClain can finally say her new series, ‘Black Lightning’ has a premiere date.

Black Lightning is a DC legend, a superhero who hung his suit a long time ago. However, with a daughter on the search for justice and a star student being pulled into a local gang, he must fight again. McClain will play Jennifer Pierce or Lightning, the youngest daughter of Black Lightning and sister of the heroine Thunder.

The show will debut on Tuesday, January 16th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CW. It will show just after The Flash and this also means that DC’s Legends of Tomorrow must be moved to a new time or date, which is set to be announced soon.

McClain and fellow Black Lightning actress, Nafessa Williams, have both expressed interest in doing a crossover with other DC superhero series on the CW.

“If we did, Flash, I’m coming for you, man,” said McClain during an interview with DC All Acces. Watch the video below:
