Gal Gadot is Boycotting Her Role as Wonder Woman

The hottest female superhero of our generation has hit the brakes on the sequel to her box office hit Wonder Woman.Gadot’s boycott comes after the recent strings of sexual assault allegations that have hit the Hollywood scene, which have also effected a member of the Wonder Woman franchise. Brett Ratner, founder of the production company RatPac-Dune Entertainment, helped finance the first film of the franchise. Ratner has been accused by two women, including actress Olivia Munn, of sexual assault. Warner Bros., a partner of Ratner and Wonder Woman, has severed all ties with the producer after the accusations came forth.

Gadot is hoping for further action against the producer though, as he is still under a contract with Warner Bros. until 2018. Last month, the actress declined to attend a dinner honoring Ratner, where she was scheduled to present him with an award that evening. A Warner Bros. insider told Page Six that, “Gadot is saying she won’t sign for the sequel unless Warner Bros. buys Brett out [of his financing deal] and gets rid of him.”

When asked for further comment, Warner Bros. simply replied to Page Six with the single word, “false.”
