Could this mean some competition for Jay-Z’s “Tidal” streaming service?

There were reports of Kanye West filling for the trademark of “Yeezy Sound” yesterday. On the official document for the request, it also shares information about the goods and services that Yeezy Sound will offer. These include “streaming of music, audio, images, video and other multimedia content over the internet, mobile devices, wireless networks and other computer networks and electronic communications networks.” It sure sounds like a new streaming service will be coming our way in the near future.

Not only does it mention streaming services but also chat room, online electronic bulletin boards, and community forums. This is may be where Yeezy Sound may be able to share about artists, concerts, songs, multimedia, cultural events, and other entertainment.

Apparently, streaming services will also include independent films and movies.

As of right now, Kanye himself has not said anything about the potential of the new “Yeezy Sound.” But, this sounds like something that would be wildly successful and totally along the lines of what Kanye loves. Stay tuned for more updates.
