The Gift That Keeps on Giving This Holiday Season

The Giving Keys was founded by Hollywood native Caitlin Crosby back in 2008.

The concept behind the giving key is quite simple. The pendant is engraved with words of encouragement, from “peace” to “courage,” and is given to a person who is in need of that specific word engraved.

When the person finds themselves no longer needing the word on their key, they pass it on to someone else who needs it more than them. From there, people are encouraged to tell their key’s story on the website to share with others.

Caitlin managed to not only create fashionable, pay it forward statement pieces, but she created jobs for a marginalized group. After taking a homeless couple living in a dumpster out to dinner, the idea of employing those transitioning out of homelessness was planted in her heart.

Today, The Giving Keys has gone on to create multiple types of key pendants, key chains, and even earrings with these messages of hope.
