FENTYxPUMA is Nominated For a Fashion Award

Rihanna is included among many for an award at the Fashion Awards in the UK.

The Fashion Awards 2017 is sponsored by the British Fashion Council and is also known as the Oscars of style.

The nominees were made up of fantastic talents across the globe.  As said best by Nadja Swarovski who is a member of the Swarovski executive board and principal sponsor of the awards in an article by Business of Fashion, “Young designers are the heartbeat of our business, and it is up to all of us to foster and champion their vision”.

The award show will take place on December 4th at the Royal Albert Hall by the British Fashion Council (BFC), in partnership with Swarovski. Originally, the Fashion Awards used to be called the “British Fashion Awards” but chose to lose the “British” term to make the nominees and awards more international. Voters were composed of members of the fashion industry from over 30 countries. Fields such as media, retail, communications, and photography are represented.

Rihanna’s FentyxPuma brand was nominated for an award under the “Urban Luxe Brand” category. It seems to be a great honor to be nominated among such diverse brands and could allow for Rihanna to make some possible connections when it comes to her next collaboration. The other brands in the category included Gosha Rubsinskiy, Off-White, Supreme, and Vetements.
