Kat Von D and Green Day Are Collaborating
Kat Von D is launching a collaboration with Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong.
The product is an eyeliner named after Green Day’s song “Basket Case”. This new liner will be an “anti precision smudge liner,” which is different from the cosmetic brand’s other liners. While this collaboration seems very unexpected, it is definitely one we would swipe right for. Kat Von D made the exciting announcement in a really low-key way, as she posted behind-the-scenes photos from the liner’s promo shoot on her beauty brand’s Instagram Story.
It’s unclear if the liner will be a limited-edition product or a new addition to Kat’s regular lineup. But, based on the Instagram story caption that read, “It’s really happening and yes, it’s going to be gooood,” we know it’s something we can’t miss. Billie Joe Armstrong, who fronts the punk rock band, also made an appearance at the product’s photo shoot.
The packaging seems to be similar to the other brand’s eyeliner, Tattoo Liner. We are guessing if you’re a fan of this cosmetic cult classic, then you will probably love Basket Case. There was no mention of a price or release date for the latest product, but we know for a fact we will be adding it to our eyeliner collection.
