Reese Witherspoon Reveals Past Sexual Harassment
Reese Witherspoon is letting her voice be heard.
In the wake of multiple celebrities coming out to reveal that they were sexually harassed or assaulted by Harvey Weinstein, other actresses have also spoken up about the sexual harassment that goes on in Hollywood.
Reese Witherspoon, earlier this week at the Elle Women in Hollywood event, spoke about her experience with sexual harassment in Hollywood. She revealed that she was sexually harassed by a director at the age of 16, and has experienced other instances of sexual harassment throughout her career. Jennifer Lawrence, also at the Elle Women in Hollywood event, revealed that she was placed in “a nude lineup” and was told to lose weight.
Although Witherspoon and Lawrence have recently spoken out about this behavior in Hollywood, many other celebrities have come out about sexual harassment and abuse. By speaking out against their abusers, these women give courage to all survivors of sexual assault.
