Are Amy Poehler and Tina Fey the funniest friends ever?

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey became friends in 1993 when they met at Chicago’s ImprovOlympic.

The two met as young adults and little did they know, over 20 years later they would be known as two of the funniest female comedians and actresses. The two hardheaded, determined women were a perfect match. In 1997, Fey started writing for Saturday Night Live and in 2001, Poehler joined her.

“I was so happy. Weirdly, I remember thinking, ‘My friend is here! My friend is here!’ Even though things had been going great for me at the show, with Amy there, I felt less alone,” Fey said in her book “Bossypants.”

The two starred in many movies alongside each other including, “Mean Girls”, “Baby Mama” and most recently “Sisters.”  “Sisters” is a hilarious comedy focused on two dysfunctional and polar opposite sisters who decided to throw a party in their childhood home after their parents tell them the house will be sold.

Between their hilarious SNL impersonations of Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton and killing it every year they host the Golden Globes, these two are the power couple of friends.

Neither of the two has social media, but you can occasionally catch them on SNL’s Instagram and Twitter.
