CoverGirl Makes Big Changes

CoverGirl changes its iconic slogan.

The makeup company’s original slogan was “Easy, Breezy, Beautiful” but is now being replaced with ” I am what I makeup.” The new slogan was released through a commercial featuring the faces of the company such as Katy Perry, Issa Rae, and Ayesha Curry.

The change is said to be a part of CoverGirl’s rebranding to reflect the changing attitudes towards makeup as a form of self-expression. It’s primarily to show that everyone has the ability to make their own look that reflects how beautiful they are; it’s about the power of makeup but not trying to make a image that’s already been created.

So far, there have been a lot of mixed comments about the slogan change as everyone is used to the company’s iconic slogan. The original slogan has been around for many generations and has slowly become incorporated into our vocabulary.

In addition to the slogan revamp, CoverGirl is also going to change their packaging which will appear in stores in the upcoming weeks.
