Famous Brand, Coach is Changing Their Name

What could take the place of such a landmark name?

Coach is a household name. It’s the status symbol among many that upholds an image of class and prestige. But what name could uphold such an image like Coach?

According to owners Stuart Weitzman and Kate Spade, re-naming and re-branding the name to Tapestry Inc. seems to be the way to go. Why? Chief executor of the brand Victor Luis says that, “It’s a wonderful metaphor for what we believe in, which is individual threads of different colors all working together to create a picture.”

According to both owners the name speaks creativity, craftsmanship, authenticity, and inclusivity.

Kate Spade explains how they don’t want the brand to be representative of just the title of coach, but rather of the brands under it as well.

“The better to express it’s new shape as a multi-brand entity with a variety of unique properties, as opposed to one dominated by a single brand” was spoken in a statement released today.
