Zendaya Encourages More Diversity On Disney Channel
Zendaya is using her platform to make a difference.
In a recent interview, Zendaya talked about her hopes of Disney Channel becoming a more diverse setting. In her interview, she stated: “A lot of people who aren’t people of color can’t quite understand what it’s like to grow up and not see yourself in mainstream media.” She has since joined the cast of a second show and by doing that she wants to continue showing different representations.
Zendaya is currently the star of KC Undercover and it has been going for three seasons now. Her first feature film, Spider-Man: Homecoming, grossed over 117 million dollars in its first week. Zendaya will star in a musical titled, “The Greatest Showman,” and that is expected to release in December 2017. This beauty is doing great with her entertainment career and seeing her take on philanthropy is amazing.
We love seeing people use their voice to inspire change. Zendaya is a great role model for the young ladies of today’s generation.
