Meghan McCain Joins ‘The View’

There’s a new co-host on The View.

Her name is Meghan Marguerite McCain. She is a daughter of U.S. Senator John McCain. Meghan is known primarily as a columnist Arthur and a former Fox News host. She was hired as the conservative voice to replace Jedediah Bila. McCain will join co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Paula Faris, and Sarah Haines for the daily Hot Topics segment of the show.

Megan’s first day was very emotional because she talked about her father, John McCain’s, bout with cancer. She tearfully gave an update on his Stage 4 brain cancer diagnosis. Her family has rallied around her father to help him during this scary and terrifying ordeal. On the show, she mentioned that her father had been receiving radiation and chemotherapy and that the process is scary and intense for her family.

Meghan is thrilled to have an opportunity to be a co-host and to use this platform to spread knowledge about this form of cancer. Senator McCain was with her when she got the call to be a co-host on the show. She actually asked him his opinion and he was thrilled and encouraged her to join the team. Both of her parents are very proud of her.
