It’s Never Too Early to Wear a Flannel like Shay

The first day of fall was last week and I am already rocking my flannels.

There is an unspoken rule that you must wait until after October sixteenth to do so. “Flannel SZN” they call it. How absurd. A flannel is the perfect accessory for any outfit, any day of the year.

Shay Mitchell and Dem Lovato are just a couple of celebs spotting out and about wearing flannels. There are so many ways to wear them. Dress it up by tucking it in a pair of nice jeans or adding a statement necklace. Dress it down with a graphic tee underneath or tie it around your waist for a nice 90’s vibe.

Tying a flannel around your waist is extremely convenient. You never know if it’s going to be chilly. Even if it is 90 degrees during the day, by sunset you may wish you had some sort of jacket. It sucks being cold, so why not opt to have a flannel wrapped around your waist.  It is very practical and very, very cute.

Flannels are easy to layer in the winter too and they add a little extra spunk to any outfit. Underneath a bubble vest, under a sweater or layered with an infinity scarf, are just a few looks to choose from.

Like I said, you can never go wrong with a flannel in any weather. Just hit up your local Goodwill or thrift store and see what you can find.
