Apple’s Spinoff of “Carpool Karaoke” with Linkin Park Will Still Air

The episode that was filmed about a week before front man Chester Bennington took his own life will go live next week. The rest of Linkin Park have kept their presence on social media since the sudden death of their bandmate, focusing on keeping Chester’s memory alive and well with fans.

The band announced on their Twitter page yesterday that the previously filmed interview will be free to view next week at the link they gave fans.

It’s chilling to see what appears to be a cheerful Bennington sitting in the front seat, knowing the struggles he was dealing with now. His wife addressed this as well on her Twitter, which she now uses to advocate for suicide prevention.

The band has not announced a timeline for when they plan to get back to the stage. Scheduled to perform at One Ok Rock in Japan, the band released a statement, reading, “Until now, we have not communicated about our November shows because we sincerely wished to play, even in the wake of Chester’s passing. We are working each day to grieve, heal, and work towards stepping on stage together without our dear friend.”

We continue to keep Chester’s fans and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers. If you or someone you love is dealing with suicidal thoughts, or appears to show symptoms, please reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline.
