A Bleak Prognosis For The Next Trumpcare Vote

John McCain opposes the proposed Trumpcare Bill.

Republican Senator, John McCain, announced in a press release that he “cannot in good conscience” vote with his party for the latest Trumpcare Bill proposed by fellow Republican Senators Lindsey Graham and Bill Cassidy.

“I believe we could do better working together, Republicans and Democrats, and have not yet really tried. Nor could I support it without knowing how much it will cost, how it will affect insurance premiums, and how many people will be helped or hurt by it,” he went on to state.

The healthcare reform bill is still looking to remove the federal mandate requiring insurance plans for all Americans, and the bill will leave it up to the states as to what their intentions are when providing adequate and affordable coverage to those with pre-existing conditions. But “adequate and affordable” is a statement not officially defined by the bill’s creators, leaving many on edge with the bill’s vote next week.

Considering he publicly announced his own battle with cancer, this vote will be much more personal for Senator McCain this time around.

The Arizona Senator voted ‘no’ to the last healthcare bill proposed back in July. If senator Susan Collins of Maine votes no, which she did as well in July, Trumpcare will be headed back to the drawing board once more.
