JLo + Celebs Send Message of Support to the People of Puerto Rico

3.5 million people are without power as Hurricane Maria reaked destruction on the entire island of Puerto Rico. There are no phone lines and gas is limited as residents scramble to receive aid.

In a video posted to Instagram, JLo encouraged her 69 million plus followers to donate to relief efforts, and also explained how she has not heard from her own family.

Other celebrities born on the U.S. mainland to Puerto Rican parents, such as Marc Anthony and Rosie Perez, or from the island itself, including Ricky Martin and Daddy Yankee, have spoken out on social media to encourage support for the rebuilding efforts.

In worse news on the island, officials are now worried that as many as 70,000 people could be in the path of  massive rushing water if Guajataca Dam releases into the Guajataca River, which flows through low-lying communities and empties into the ocean.

We are sending prayers to Puerto Rico and urging everyone to do what they can to help by donating to various charities and fundraisers like the ones below.
