Dan Liu at NYFW

Dan Liu put together a beautiful show at New York Fashion Week.

Dan Liu does something that not many designers do, he creates wearable, yet detailed dresses. He aims to please the everyday woman elegant, classic design.

Using bright colors, Liu presented a youthful collection that captured the idea of spring. Liu was inspired by the colorful presentation of the peacock. Each model had peacock feathers pasted onto their eyebrows, that fluttered with each step.

“Smell the Sea, Feel the Breeze, Hear the Ocean, Be at Ease” was the true inspiration of this gorgeous collection of cocktail attire.

According to Dan Liu, “Feeling is much more important than other senses that we have. Yes, our eyes can see and ears can hear, but I’d rather feel because by feeling, even though I’m all alone and sad on the beach, I know the Sun will eventually warm me up, the sand will comfortably soap my feet, and certainly, see breeze will give me a hug thru inside out.

The show ended dramatically with a long white origami-inspired gown. The model carried a ring of peacock feathers that perfectly framed her face and dress. For more, look below!
