Leanne Marshall’s Watercolor Printed Chiffon Gowns at NYFW
Bright colors were the main focus of Leanne Marshall’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection.
Leanne Marshall’s collection was held at the Skylight Clarkson Square Gallery 2. The room was huge and the models walked down three different “runways” before exiting backstage. There was a main runway and two other runways on the side of the main stage. The seats were sleek white bleacher style and there was a long line forming outside to try and get standing room for just a glimpse of Leanne’s collection.
She featured extravagant, bright colors, perfect for the spring and summer. There were a wide variety of styles from dresses, to two pieces, to pants and a top, and jackets. Some of the outfits had beautiful textures that made the colors look like a watercolor painting. When they were shown on the runway they looked like they were floating with ease. Her show concluded with a finale capsule of incredible watercolor printed chiffon gowns in gorgeous southwestern hues—a venture for the designer. The collection was surely beautiful and the bright colors made it fun. Scroll down to view more of the looks at NYFW.
