Beck’s New Music Video “Up All Night” is Full of Female Empowerment
On September 6th, 2017, Beck dropped his new single, “Up All Night”, and the music video is live on YouTube, the star of which reminds us quite a bit of a certain, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman.
While we recommend you watch the video for yourself, it is safe to say that Beck’s new single is awe-inspiring. The symbolism of the video is surreal and masterful. Beck shows us a strong girl who dawns her armor and shield to save her friend at a party. It’s a complete role reversal of the ‘Damsel in Distress’ story and we’re loving it. Our heroine uses her shield to block projectiles from multiple partiers, as she crosses through the house on her way to her friend, a young man who has passed out from having too much to drink. And our heroine sweeps him away before serious dangers can befall him.
We recommend you see the video for yourself! The Heroine is strong, empowered, and definitely a force to be reckoned with. Wonder Woman would definitely be proud.
