Barb From ‘Stranger Things’ Will Get Justice In Season 2

2017-07-24 (2)

When the first season of Netflix’s Stranger Things ended, fans had a ton of questions.

Where did Eleven go? Why was Will still having flashes of the Upside Down? And more importantly…when will there be justice for Barb?

Below are spoilers for season 1 so don’t read if you haven’t watched it.

Barb is introduced as Nancy’s best friend. She was a straight-laced girl with a good reputation, but she was killed by the Demogorgon because she was at a party with Nancy. When she died, there was little to no attention paid to her because everyone was busy trying to find Will, who eventually can home alive. But with almost no mention of Barb, it lead fans to demand #JusticeforBarb.

And justice is coming.

At Comic-Con this weekend, Stranger Things creators, the Duffer Brother, explained how they were bringing justice.

“Well specifically, I will say that it involves Nancy and she’s sort of the catalyst of it,” Matt Duffer stated. “It was sort of a bittersweet ending last year. Will was returned but everyone didn’t emerge from last year unscathed. There were these psychological after effects and Nancy is one of them who was hit the hardest and so we start with her and how she’s dealing with it.”

Shannon Purser, the actress that plays Barb, even made a surprise appearance at Comic-Con, sharing how she thought Barb’s story should end. “I just feel like she deserves a funeral at least. I feel like that’s not too much to ask, for someone to recognize that she’s gone.”

And we agree, it’s not too much to ask for!
