Miley Cyrus Does Her Own Makeup For Shoots

Embracing her healthier, natural self!

From her days on Hannah Montana to swinging around in her ‘Wrecking Ball’ video to prancing around on the beach for ‘Malibu,’ Miley has always stayed true to herself and exploring the various versions of who she is. Recently, she has been showing off her confidence and embracing a more healthier, natural and ultimately, happier, Miley.

Miley is welcoming a minimalistic outlook. In an interview with Harper’s Baazar, Miley addressed that she felt it was becoming expected of her to act and look a certain way. She announces, “I didn’t want to show up to photo shoots and be the girl who would get my tits out and stick out my tongue!”

Miley explains that she originally made a statement to shout, “fuck you. Girls should be able to have this freedom or whatever. But it got to a point where I did feel sexualized.”

Miley is turning over a new leaf and focusing on herself by meeting her personal expectations. In order to fully achieve her goal, the singer and actress decided to do her own makeup for shoots. It allows her to keep it under control and as minimal as possible to show off her true self.

Miley’s objective emphasizes even more that women should take charge of their bodies, especially in media, instead of having someone else sexualizing them.
