Star-Studded ‘A Wrinkle In Time’ Trailer Is Released

Could you cross worlds for love?

Disney released a trailer for upcoming film, A Wrinkle In Time, at the D23 Expo on Saturday, June 15. It is an adaptation of the book of the same title, which follows three children (Meg, her brother and a friend) as they travel to another planet to save their dead father.

Some members of the cast include:

• Oprah – Mrs. Which
• Chris Pine – Alexander “Alex” Murray
• Reese Witherspoon – Mrs. Whatsit
• Mindy Kaling – Mrs. Who
• Storm Reid – Margaret “Meg” Murray

Director Ava DuVernay said she had a vision for the movie when she read the script. She told EW.com:

 “The first image I had in my mind was to place a brown girl in the role of Meg, a girl traveling to different planets and encountering beings and situations that I’d never seen a girl of color in. I was interested in that, and in a heroine that looked like the girls I grew up with.”

She used the same words to caption the slideshow below that she shared on her Instagram page.
