Blake Lively’s New Role as an Assassin
Is Blake the next big female action hero?
Blake Lively is reported to play the character Stephanie Patrick in the upcoming film, The Rhythm Section. Blake is expected to show off her strong, empowering attitude with all her girl power action scenes.
Her character loses her family in an international plane crash and becomes an assassin to seek revenge. Blake will take on a variety of identities to fulfill her revenge plan.
The film is based off a four-book series authored by Mark Burnell and will be directed by Reed Morano. Reed has directed episodes for The Handmaid’s Tale.
Blake recently showed her excitement for the new role on Instagram. She posted a photo of the novel with the caption: “Yes. Yes Yes!!! I couldn’t be more excited to be bringing this incredible and complex female hero to life!”
Production for the movie is set for this fall and we can’t wait to watch Blake become the next big female action hero!
