The Bold Type, the show replacing Pretty Little Liars, officially premiered July 11 on Freeform.

The show, inspired by the life of former Cosmopolitan Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles, follows the lives of the women in charge of a global women’s magazine called Scarlet as they struggle to find their identities  maintain friendships, and experience heart break.

As the show progresses, the characters work to figure what feminism means and how it relates to their lives. And on top of all that, the show focuses on such a serious topic while still being dramatic and funny. Pretty Little Liar’s promoted The Bold Type premiere via Instagram with the caption, “Don’t hold back. Your Tuesday’s can still be great.” So far, this new show seems to be fulfilling that promise.

If you missed the premiere of The Bold Type you can still watch it on the Freeform app.

Tuesdays can still be a Freeform night, as you watch these girls find themselves and define feminism.
