Marble Hair Is The Coolest Thing You’ll See All Day
There’s a new marble trend taking the internet by storm.
I know you’ve seen marble nail art, where you get a bowl of water, put in a few drops of different colored nail polish, mix it with a toothpick, and then dip your nail into the bowl, achieving that perfect marble pattern on your nails.
Well, what’s next in the world of marble? Marble Hair.
Hair colorist Ash Fortis created the marble hair trend. “Nail art is a huge influence of mine, so I thought, how can I bring it to hair?” she told Allure.
Her signature technique involves coating mesh strips with shaving cream before swirling rainbow hair shades with the back of her color brush. When she achieves the perfect marble pattern, she presses a section of the hair onto the strip before covering the strands with clear plastic.
With the marble technique, there is no perfect formula because the shades and distribution of the dye are different each time. So if you’re thinking about trying out this hair style, don’t expect to get the exact same results as the picture you brought in.
If you’re into the holographic hair color trend, then the marble technique is a similar approach.
