This Music App is Having a Major Comeback

GIFs will never be the same

2017-06-11

What feels like forever ago in 2015, an app called Ditty from the music technology company Zya was presented after Facebook’s F8 conference, as Facebook was seeking to makeover their Messenger feature for Generation Meme.

What the app did? It took over any text your brain could think of, string it together and auto-tune it over songs like Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust,” and created a singing telegram you could send to your best friends. Like most quirky apps, Ditty was quick to come and go. But the app has resurfaced when this meme of Mr. Krabs came to the internet.

In its 2017 return, Ditty sings your short message over a track from almost any genre. It then generates a 15-to-20 second clip animated with photos, videos, or random GIFs that you can then share on social media or save it for yourself on your phone.

Well go ahead and download the app and let your creative juices flowing.
