Yara Shahidi Commits To Harvard University
Star of the ABC sitcom Black-ish Yara Shahidi recently informed her fan following of where she’s decided to attend college by sporting her new school’s colors — Harvard Crimson! Back in April, Yara admitted that she had been accepted to every school she applied to, so everyone is happy to finally know her big decision!
Her Instagram caption read “‘The paradox of education is precisely this – that as one begins to become conscious one begins to examine the society in which he is being educated.’ ~ James Baldwin #CrimsonPride.”
Choosing a college can be such a difficult decision. “What’s the social scene like?” and “Will I like the classes?” are only some of the questions you may be asking yourself as you either make that decision or consider where to apply. Make sure you take your time to work out your thought process like Yara Shahidi. As silly as it sounds, maybe even try the pros and cons list approach!
Whatever you decide, trust in your own intuition and voice, and wear your colors with pride!
