Bebe Rexha Releases A New Music Video With Lil Wayne
She just wants to dance with somebody, ANYBODY!
Bebe Rexha recently released a new song along with an accompanying music video. The song is called “The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody)”, and it features Lil Wayne. The song samples lyrics from Whitney Houston’s famous song “Dance With Somebody.”
Bebe Rexha sings about wanting to dance with anybody just the way she is, and Lil Wayne helps her to complete the song with his rap verse. Throughout the song, they reference and pay homage to the late Whitney Houston and her former husband, Bobby Brown.
The songs start off with the lyrics “I’m sorry, I’m not the most pretty/ I’ll never ever sing like Whitney/ Ooh, but I still wanna dance with somebody.”
Bebe Rexha posted a series of tweets explaining the meaning of the song. She said that her previous record label did not want to release any of her songs because she does not have the look nor sound of a pop star. She also said that the most important takeaway from the song is that she wants you to accept yourself and find people who love you as you are.
The video shows Bebe Rexha, Lil Wayne and a group of dancers dancing around and having fun. The song is filled with a lot of energy and good vibes. Watch the music video below!
